Planted-in-Place Tray
This tray combines the advantages of tray and layered systems with a flexible growing media depth and integrated drip irrigation option. Lightweight and easy to install and plant, this unique design allows you the most flexibility in a tray-based system.

LAYERED SYSTEMS (intensive & extensive) & PLANTERS
Extensive
The Columbia Green Extensive Layered System is a lightweight, cost effective built‐up vegetative roof system consisting of a root barrier, drainage layer, filter layer, and water retention layer. This product can fit any design or layout since layers can be easily cut on‐site to fit curves and angles.

Semi Intensive
The Semi‐Intensive Green Roof System has a thicker media depth, which gives designers the flexibility to add grasses and perennials in addition to sedum on their vegetative roofs which can add planting design options and biodiversity. Semi Intensive media, engineered to support a wider variety of plant materials is used in this system. It consists of a drainage layer, filter layer, and water retention layer below the growing media. It is easy to install‐ layers can be cut in the field to fit curves and irregular shapes.

Rooftop Container Planting

Growing Media
High-quality growing media is key to plant health, drainage and water retention in the green roof system. Our lightweight media is engineered regionally to meet FLL Standards and ASTM guidelines. We have a variety of blends that meet every design and plant type. Our media can be delivered via super sacks or Blower truck.

Metal Perimeter Edging
Our Metal Edger is used to define and separate green roof areas from adjacent paving, vegetation‐free zones, or parapets. Our edgers are flexible, multi‐height, crafted from durable aluminum.

Drain Boxes
Our Columbia Green Drain boxes come in 2 sizes and a variety of heights. Our drain boxes hold the media and plants away from roof drains to allow for easy access to drains for routine maintenance.

Mineral Wool
In most situations the high-water holding capacity of our growing media and standard water retention layer should meet project green roof water retention goals. For projects needing to maximize storage, the Mineral Wool Retention Layer can be a good choice.
Geofoam and Lightweight Fill
Create depth and mounding with our lightweight fill options. Use our Recycled and Sustainable options for mounds and contours without overloading the roof.
